Shift: DaysJackson West Medical Center is scheduled to open early 2021 as the first academic medical center in west Miami-Dade and the first built-to-suit campus in Jackson Health System’s century of service to South Florida. Its facility will combine consumer-centered outpatient facilities – including emergency services for adults and kids, a full range of diagnostic and imaging suites, and physician clinics for adult and pediatric specialists – with the latest surgical and inpatient programs at the campus’ 100-bed Jose Milton Memorial Hospital.

tailored to fit nearby communities, including Doral, Sweetwater, and Miami Springs.The Director of Operations for Jackson West provides leadership and management for ancillary operations throughout Jackson West hospital and oversees all aspects of the ancillary operations including financial management, daily operations and patient experience. The scope of this position includes, but is not limited to: Radiology Services, Dialysis, Wound Care and Nutrition Services. The incumbent assesses, evaluates, designs, and implements systems to improve ancillary operations including but not limited to supply costs, labor costs, staff productivity and patient/visitor experience. Collaborates with hospital leadership to ensure performance expectations are developed, tracked and achieved. Participates in project management activities supporting organizational initiatives. The incumbent reports directly to the Vice President & CEO of Jackson West.
Experience: Generally requires 7 to 10 years of related experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree related field is required.
Licensure Certification: Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
Knowledge Skill Abilities: Excellent grasp of clinical processes; support staff licensure; scope of practice concepts. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to listen, evaluate, participate in discussions, and sell ideas. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to attend to details, to prioritize and complete multiple tasks independently. Demonstrated knowledge of financial principles in a health care setting.
